Hello all,  by gosh its already the end of October!   Only  two more months until the end of 2013,  where has the time flown!
............................................................................
Beauty

Today I am sharing a layout I created playing with lots of yummy Memory Maze Chipboard(MMC) and a mask!  I love how I made the chipboard look like metal.

I have used the MMC word beauty as my main title and embossed it with a glitter embossing powder,  Don't you love the sparkle.

Here you can see the distress paint on my MMC cogs,  I have used a mixture of copper and silver to get the desired effect.

I have placed a number of these around the photo  to create a frame.

MMC I have used:

Beauty : GO205

Micro cogs sold 3\'s
Micro Cogs :  SO741

Hope you have enjoyed my share today,  look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Amanda Lawrence - October - Part 2

Hello! I'm back again to share the 2nd half of my October layouts.

For this page I dug way back through my stash of unscrapped photos and found this adorable pic on my 1 month old baby girl fast asleep in her bassinet. She's now 2 1/2 so it was well overdue to record those precious memories.

I chose a few pieces from my Memory Maze stash to create this page.

Sweet Dreams

I wanted the page to have a very soft feel and look overall so I went with shades of pink, white and a hint of aqua.

I covered the hot air balloon with a thick coat of gesso. I choose the Cooper font of the word 'sweet' to use as part of my title and simply coloured it silver with my sharpie marker.

I also used some clouds which I have covered in some patterned paper in my accent colour of aqua. I felt they needed an 'edge' but nothing to definite so I added a soft row of faux stitching with a silver gel pen.

Memory Maze products used:

Other products used:
Echo Park paper, Thickers, gel pen, sharpie, white cardstock, assorted flowers, twine, button, silver foil doiley.

..........................................................................................

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back in November with some more projects to share.

Susan's October Post

Hi again from Susan. We are nearly at the end of October with only about 6 weeks until Christmas! Time to have those handmade goodies on the go. The layout I'm showing you today is of my sister and myself when we were young. The frame is perfect for showcasing the old square photos. It started off as a plain white frame. We always say "love,me" as a short version of " I love you, love from me "

LOVE ME

Firstly I adhered the chipboard pieces, the pearl strips and the resin flowers onto the frame. It looks a bit crowded at the moment but once it is coated with white gesso it all blends in better. The gesso helps to prime the surface for other mediums to cling to it. The frame was sprayed with Perfect Pearls in interference red and lightly sprayed with Radiant Rain mist in solar gold.

The chipboard words were painted with Plaid glitter paint
in hot pink.
On the words big sister I cut off the "ter" because I am her "big sis" and "just love me"was shortened to "love me". Your chipboard pieces can be acted to fit in with your theme.

Metal embellishments can be coated with gesso which gives it "tooth" for the paint to stick to it.
Memory Maze chipboard has a great surface for using all types of mediums on it.

Multiple pieces of chipboard can be used on your projects to create a layered look.

Hi everyone Linda here today,
this month has been a super busy month for me and I am way behind on everything
so I thought I would share with you a canvas I made recently
its mostly all pink for Breast Cancer awareness.

"Canvas of Love"

This month I thought I would create something pink for Breast cancer awareness. This is another 8x8" canvas. I covered the canvas in chipboard pieces then the entire canvas was covered in gesso and sprayed with Lindys Stamp Gang sprays and Chalk board sprays. Gelatos were used around the edges of the canvas to give darker colour tones to the edges.

I started by first covering my canvas in gesso and then attached all the chipboard and re-paint the entire thing in gesso again.

I then used spray mists to achieve all the colours.

I then added all the rest of my embellishments.

Tracey Campbell's Mid October Reveal

Greetings and salutations. I am back to share with you some of my latest creations that I have done using the ever fantastic Memory Maze chipboard. Seriously this product is ten out of ten - it is versatile, it is high quality and just wonderful.

Family

I wanted to give the chipboard some bling so I grabbed the heat set adhesive and lots of glitter and got my sparkle on. The layout is about my two girls and my three nieces and the word title "family" just screamed out to be used.
For something a little different I cut the pennants off the banner and turned them sideways for a chevron/arrow look. They just draw the eye across the page now.
Love how the glitter has brought such a touch of whimsy to the title.

Love this Girl

I had a quick photo shoot with Bronte one afternoon after she had complained that I didn't have any beautiful photos of her and this one is the result of that photo shoot.
These bird cages with the birds in really are a great touch to any feminine or vintage page. They look great plain or decorated.
For both the bird cage and the hot air balloon I simply grabbed my gold Sharpie pen and coloured in the pieces, leaving the birds naked in their natural raw chipboard state. That is one of the main reason why I love Memory Maze chipboard, it can be dressed up or down and it looks fantastic.

 Explore the Sea Life

The girls exploring the touch pool at Sea World.
I used the chipboard title "Sea Life" for this layout, as I wanted it to have a subtle colourful ombre look I painted it white first and then applied some pastel colours which I blended together for the ombre look.

New Calendar Kit

Our project today has been brought to you by Sally
Yes the wonderful owner of Memory Maze has taken some time out and decorated this fantastic new calendar, that has just been released.

New 2014 Calendar Kit at Memory Maze.  See it in the Off the Page section and new  October.
The kit consists of the basic calendar ,butterfly  sheets ,Calendar word , 2014 , chipboard flower  Bicycle and calendar.

Firstly I covered the 2 solid pieces of the calendar kit with scrapbooking paper using PVA glue.

I then coloured all of the chipboard embellishments, letters and numbers to suit my colour way.
I did this using stamp pads and paint.
Holes are cut into the pieces for ease of use.
Simply take a pencil and from the front of the calendar push the pencil to the back through the hole.
This can then be tidied up if required.

Decide what you will be using to hang your calendar and determine the length you will require ,
Push through from the front of the piece, and tie at the back. I used a little hot glue to keep the knot tidy at the back.

Now it is time to  create your own design at the top of your calendar. This one is designed for a family or female. We will release a male themed one soon.
I have used  the lily S0274  as a back behind handmade flowers from Scrappers Garden
S0759 Beauty Butterflies  S0025  small flourishes.
All chipboard is part of the kit.

I then sprayed my birthday tags with a glimmer Ink, I chose to hang these with rings you may choose to use ribbon, twine or other medium.
Add your calendar to the  base,
And you are complete.
I had a lot of fun designing this I hope you enjoy making it too.

October Design Team Share Donna O'leary

Hello all my lovelies,   How are you all.  I see the design team have been sharing some AMAZING crafty ideas with their Memory Maze.  Please feel free to leave some comments on the posts you enjoy,  we love to hear back what you like or even an idea that could be added to our posts.   Today I am going to share a mixed media layout of my daughter Amber-Leigh,  I have used lots of different mediums to complete my layout and dress my memory maze chipboard.   Enjoy!

YOUR MAKE MY HEART HAPPY

I have used two different pieces of Memory Maze chipboard on this layout but it looks like more as I have cut my doilies into three different sizes to frame my photo.

Before I cut my chipboard I used my white distress paint to cover the entire piece.  I then decide with my other piece of memory maze chipboard  to stamp it with a font stamp to add interest and finished it off with some distress ink for highlighting.

Here you can see the font stamp, this could be any stamp,  I prefer ones that have small font.  I have used a blue ink to go round the edges and then splattered some more by adding a bit of ink to my craft mat, adding water and picking it up with a paint brush and tapping the brush to where I thought I would like a bit more color.

This last photo shows some of the dollies that I cut to frame my photo.  I love how we can make our stash last a bit longer  by cutting it up.  Do you have any tips for making your stash last a bit longer, we would love to hear from you.
